2 Reviews for Costa Rican Artisan Coffee Experience
A great virtual travel experience, and supporting artisans
I loved this intimate live experience with a few different artisans and entrepreneurs in Costa Rica. I learned about coffee, and enjoyed being able to ask questions and interact live. It was the next best thing to being there! I also felt really good about purchasing products from Local Keeps – I got some Costa Rican coffee and a whole array of organic essential oil-based products (and a few tropical snacks too, for good measure). The best souvenirs for me are things that I can use in my daily life, and I look forward to enjoying these products, knowing I supported fellow female entrepreneurs in Costa Rica.
A joy to be back in Costa Rica!
I’ve been to Costa Rica many, many times and am a veteran of an array of coffee tours. Yet I jumped at the chance to do this virtual travel and shopping experience, and I’m so glad that I did. What did I love? 1. After many months of cold, gray weather in Chicago, the greenery and sunshine of San Marcos de Tarrazu transported me immediately to Costa RIca! So great to be back! 2. All the incredible women entrepreneurs who brought this experience to life! It was thrilling to listen each woman involved in a coffee-related business and also know that both Local Keeps and Local Purse are women-owned. 3. The information and demonstration of the coffee scrub. I never imagined that I would buy some, but as I watched and listened, I thought this would be a perfect antidote for our long, dry winter. I can’t wait to try it! I love coffee. I also love chocolate. How about a chocolate experience next time around? Gracias y Pura Vida– Ann Becker
