Connect with Andean artisans and shop their work in this virtual tour that will transport you to the hurt of the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Cusco – Perú
During the tour, the artisans will show you their traditional arts of spinning and weaving. This craftsmanship is part of the heritage of the remote Quechua villages where the artisans live, and the craft has been passed down for many generations. Our Peruvian artisans practice this craft and make their living from it today. They will show you the traditional drop spindle, demonstrate the natural dyes process, and show you the backstrap loom on which they weave their internationally-recognized textile art.
We will visit two different communities. One is located in the town of Ollantaytambo at the end of the Sacred Valley route, every Tuesdays and Saturdays, and the other one is located in the town of Chinchero close to the Piuray Lake every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Join us on this epic experience!
